THE PROGRAM

CHOIR BOOK

The choir book entitled “Cantate Domino – Vielstimmig für den Frieden” contains around 60 choral pieces, most of which were written for mixed choir a cappella or for choir with organ accompaniment, some of which can also be accompanied by wind instruments. Some of the pieces are also available in arrangements for upper voice choirs (SSA) and can be performed both individually and simultaneously with both instrumentations. At the end of the volume, after the liturgy-related sections, there are three to four pieces each for children's choirs, youth choirs, girls' choirs and boys' choirs, followed by the pieces for the “Festival of Cultures”.

The choir book was compiled and published by the German choral association Pueri Cantores at the publishing house Breitkopf + Härtel. Additional orders from participating choirs and orders from individual guests can be placed via the festival office at info@muenchen25.de. From July 1, 2025, the choir book will also be regularly available from Breitkopf + Härtel.

REGIONAL DAY

On Saturday, the choirs fan out and explore the regional area of the Bavarian capital. In addition to the Bavarian lakes, rallies in picturesque old towns, visits to palaces, castles and other sights, the program naturally also includes lots of fun and games. Several choirs travel together as a group and are guests at a local parish or monastery.

PRE-FESTIVAL

The Pre-Festival will take place from July 12 - 16 2025 at numerous locations in Germany. Choirs that do not come from Germany can be hosted by a partner choir in a German (arch)diocese and thus spend a few extra days in Germany. After several days of leisure and singing together as well as a sending out service, the choirs travel together to the festival in Munich. Registration for the Pre-Festival is already closed.

ACCOMODATION & COSTS

The registration for choirs is closed. Please note that no cancelations or refunds are possible after submitting your registration. As soon as you have completed your registration, your place at the festival and, if selected, your accommodation are secured.

Accomodation

For individual requests regarding accommodation (e.g. later departure), please contact Ms. Hartwig from the Appina Travel agency directly at nina.hartwig@appina-travel.com. If your number of participants has changed, please also contact the festival management at info@muenchen25.de.

Costs

The participation fee (75 € p.p.) includes the costs for the choir book, meals on the day of arrival and departure and the ticket for local public transport. It is due together with the flat-rate meal fee (60 € p.p.) immediately after binding registration and will be invoiced directly by the festival. The costs for the decentralized pre-festival (25 € p.p.) will be invoiced separately by Pueri Cantores Germany if you participate.

Travel support: Choirs from outside of Germany can choose a travel support during the registration process. You then will automatically receive your invoice which will already include your travel support.

Departure

On the day of departure, it is possible to store luggage from 7.00 a.m. to max. 3.00 p.m. at locations near Marienplatz. Please indicate whether you would like to make use of this option and if so, whether you need a place that can be reached by bus as close as possible. Please answer until June 10 2025.
