The 45th Pueri Cantores International Choir Festival will take place in Munich from July 16 to 20, 2025. State Parliament President Ilse Aigner and Archbishop Reinhard Cardinal Marx assume joint patronage for this major choir festival, which is being held under the motto CANTATE DOMINO – Many Voices for Peace – #comeandsing.
ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
Celebrate faith – in shared church services for and with local people in the parishes and in the cathedral
Proclaim peace – in prayers for peace and activities in inner-city churches and on Marienplatz
Show solidarity – by singing in social institutions
Stand up for each other and take responsibility – foster mutual understanding through workshops and discussions
Build friendships – through encounters between cultures and the universal language of music
Sing – be part of a musical whole with your unique voice
4.500 young singers
in 169 choirs
from 18 countries
The President of the Bavarian State Parliament, Ilse Aigner, and the Archbishop of Munich and Freising, Cardinal Reinhard Marx, are the joint patrons of the festival. The Free State of Bavaria and the Archdiocese of Munich and Freising support this major international event both ideally and financially. Other supporters include the German (arch)dioceses in particular, as well as foundations and sponsors.
